Spotted by PriceRaja, the EXIF data of the photos show a resolution of 4640×3480 pixels, which translates to 16-megapixels. However, it is important to note that the EXIF data can be easily tampered with. The photos look good, but if you look closer, some amount of graininess is visible too. However, it may be due to some compression while posting on social media.
In terms of design, the OnePlus 3 will be a major departure from the sandstone back to full metal unibody design. We have already come across leaked photos showing off the smartphone from all angles, and the back looks inspired from HTC One M9.
OnePlus 3 specifications and features: Over the past few weeks, we have come across a handful of leaks and rumors, giving us a fair idea of what to expect. The OnePlus 3 is likely to house a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core SoC. According to an earlier report, the smartphone is likely to be offered in three storage variants – 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. An alleged OnePlus 3 was also spotted on benchmarks with 4GB and 6GB RAM variants.
For shutterbugs, a 16-megpaixel rear camera with LED flash and PDAF, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera are likely to be in tow. With a 3,000mAh non-removable battery, the OnePlus 3 could also include ‘Dash Charge’ feature for fast charging. On the connectivity front, Bluetooth, GPS, 4G LTE and Wi-Fi 802.11ac along with USB Type-C port are expected. OnePlus 3 is rumored to run on Android Marshmallow-based OxygenOS out of the box.
OnePlus has created a virtual space station called ‘The Loop’ and the launch event will be live streamed in virtual reality. The company has also unveiled a Loop VR headset that will be going on flash sale for Re 1 via Amazon India on June 7 at 12PM. Users who have registered for the flash sale, the headset will automatically be added to their cart. However, after buying for Re 1, they will have to bear the shipping costs.
While details about the pricing are scarce, the OnePlus 3 4GB RAM + 32GB storage could start at 2,299 Yuan (Rs 23,400 approximately), whereas the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage could set you back by 2,799 Yuan (Rs 28,500 approximately).
