Bose SoundTouch 300, Lifestyle 600, Lifestyle 650 Launched in India

Bose has launched its new wireless soundbar, the SoundTouch 300 along with two new surround sound systems - the Lifestyle 600 and Lifestyle 650 in India. All three products are now on sale for Rs. 69,999, Rs. 2,99,999, and Rs. 3,99,999 respectively. You can buy the SoundTouch 300 soundbar and its accessories online, but the Lifestyle products will only be available via Bose retail outlets.

"With the SoundTouch 300, we've filled a gap in the market," said Pete Ogley, general manager of Bose audio-for-video. "We pushed the boundaries of size, sound and design like nothing else available in the category."

"We added Bluetooth to Wi-Fi so you can stream anything, instantly," he continues. "And because it doubles as a wireless music system and home theatre system, you’ll get an incredible experience whether you’re listening to your playlists, enjoying Netflix, or watching the game - all from one gorgeous speaker."

The SoundTouch 300 supports streaming over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, with NFC pairing. The thin soundbar has a glass top to make it stand out and give it a more premium feel.

The SoundTouch 300 uses an array of drivers to guide the audio, and create a feeling of having separate channels without having speakers all over. It also promises clean bass at high volumes and a dynamic sound calibration program to customise the output for the best sound in your home, keeping in mind the room's size, shape, and furnishings.

The SoundTouch also features Bose's Acoustimass 300 wireless bass module, to give it an extra punch or you could also get the 'Virtually Invisible 300' surround sound speakers from Bose, to get a full 5.1 surround experience. These small speakers can be placed discreetly around the house and the may cost you Rs. 36,000 for a pair. On the other hand, the bass booster costs as much as the soundbar, priced at Rs. 69,999. Like the soundbar, the Acoustimass 300 also comes with a tempered glass top to make it look more elegant.

Apart from the soundbar, the company also launched two home entertainment systems - the Lifestyle 600 and Lifestyle 650. The Lifestyle 650 features the smallest satellite speakers made by Bose called OmniJewel satellite speakers.

"Our new Lifestyle 650 system is remarkable," said Ogley. "For people who want the finest quality in sound, aesthetics, materials and build, there’s nothing else like it. When it’s seen and heard for the first time, it simply suspends belief."

The Lifestyle 600 is similar, but its speakers are slightly larger. Both these systems are also Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled with NFC, and compatible with other SoundTouch systems for whole-home wireless audio.

Google Play Music Service Finally Comes to India, but the Subscription Service is Missing.

The wait is finally over for the users in India waiting for Google has introduced its Play Music service in India. Google has quietly opened its Play Music store in India, with songs and albums now available for purchase. The Play Music was rumored to launch back in July but it didn't happen back then. Its worth noting, the subscription service - known as Google Play Music All Access - is not yet available in the country.

The news comes after the Google for India's event on Tuesday where the company launched a bunch of apps and new features suited for the Indian users. However, there is no official announcement by Google India to add to the same on its blog. With the new Play Music service, Google will enter the digital music market in India to compete with the likes of Apple's iTunes and Airtel's Wynk Music.

Google Play Music doesn't let you stream music as of now, with no Google Play All Access subscription plan, no radio, and podcasts services in India. You can only buy songs and albums individually on the app. With no support for streaming, Google may fall behind Apple Music, Saavn, and Gaana that currently occupy the streaming market in India.

Detailing on the pricing, Google Play Music hosts individual songs of the genres like Bollywood, regional, Indian Pop, and International starting Rs. 15 per song, while an entire album costs within the Rs. 100 - Rs. 200 range. You can preview the tracks and pay for them as per your suitability using your debit/ credit card, or with Google Play cards.

The Web version of Play Music is also live with a support for Google Chrome extension for desktops in case users want a player app.

Interestingly, the Play Music app on iOS didn't let us successfully sign into the app, suggesting the service might roll out on iOS platform later.

Users can also upload music via Google Play Music on the web - users will be required to download the Music Manager app, which then allows you to upload files from your computer, or playlists via iTunes and the Windows Media player. Users will then be able to listen to the uploaded music anywhere once they sign into the Google Play Music service, whether on Android or the Web.

Spotify and Tinder Swipe Right: Tinder Hooks Up with Spotify to Let You Find Your Musical Match

Tinder users can now show off just how great their taste in music is by hooking their Spotify account up to their profile. Tinder and Spotify announced a partnership this morning to make the integration happen, letting people explore their choice of top artists, as well as a track they designate as their life "Anthem".

Spotify partnered with Bumble to introduce basically this exact same feature back in June. On Tinder, however, it's arriving with one twist: everyone, including people without a Spotify account, will
be able to highlight one song they love right on their profile.

The "Anthem" is the basically background track for your life, or a piece of music that defines you as a person. The anthems can be changed. All Tinder users can add an anthem to their profiles using Spotify, whether or not they have a linked Spotify account. Users can search through the Spotify database, and select a track to be used as an anthem on their Tinder profiles.

The option to link to a Spotify profile is available in the account settings menu. The feature is in the process of rolling out to all 59 markets where Spotify is available.

Thanks to the new feature, you'll now be judged not just on your looks and wierd profile one liners, but also on how 'AMAZING' your tunes are.
