OnePlus on Thursday announced its exclusive e-commerce store for the Indian market. The new official website - oneplusstore.in which is currently selling OnePlus accessories via the store. However, while the OnePlus 3 smartphone is listed on the store, users are redirected to buy it via Amazon India, company's retail partner. OnePlus believes that the new online store will "improve the availability" of OnePlus products in India.
The company, in order to make it more rewarding for early supporters, is offering limited-time offers to its existing users in the country. To avail the offers, users will have to register the IMEI details of their smartphones on the OnePlus online store.
The company has no plans to sell smartphones from the store as of now, and the new online store is in fact aimed at engaging with the OnePlus community in India by providing "exclusive original merchandise".
"We are very excited to bring the globally acclaimed OnePlus shopping experience to our fans in India. With the new platform, our users will find it easier to purchase genuine OnePlus products and fan merchandise, right from the comfort of their homes. The e-commerce platform marks yet another major milestone in our India journey and reiterates our long term commitment towards the Indian market and our fan community here," said, Vikas Agarwal, General Manager, OnePlus India.
The OnePlus 3 was launched in India back in June at a price of Rs. 27,999. The company recently started selling the Soft Gold variant which came with the same price tag as the Graphite variant that was launched earlier.
