Motorola Moto X Play (2016) vs. Motorola Moto X Style (2016) – Best Specs and Features

Motorola is expected to announce its Moto X Play (2016) and Moto X Style (2016) smartphones next month. Today we will compare these two handsets with the rumored specifications that are circulating over the internet.

Displays
The Moto X Play (2016) will have an AMOLED display of 5.5-inch that will support a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 401 ppi and it will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. On the other hand, the Moto X Style (2016) will sport a screen with the same size, but it will support a higher resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 534 ppi and it will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4, as well.
Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM
The Moto X Play (2016) will feature a Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 chipset, an octa-core Cortex A53 processor, an Adreno 506 graphics card and 2GB or 3GB of RAM. The Moto X Style (2016) will come with a superior Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset that will house a dual-core Kryo processor clocked at 1.6GHz and a dual-core Kryo processor clocked at 2.0GHz, an Adreno 530 graphics card and 3GB or 4GB of RAM.
Storages
The Moto X Play (2016) will be released in two internal storage variants of 16GB (2GB of RAM) and 32GB (3GB of RAM), while the Moto X Play (2016) will feature an internal memory of 32GB. However, you will be able to expand the storages on both devices up to 200GB using a microSD card.
Cameras
The Moto X Play (2016) is expected to come with a better primary camera of 16MP that will feature dual-LED flash, laser autofocus, phase detection, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR, geo-tagging, while the Moto X Style (2016) will have a primary camera with a lower resolution of 13MP that will support geo-tagging, laser autofocus, OIS, LED flash, touch focus, HDR and panorama. Both devices will come with a secondary camera, but its resolution wasn’t leaked yet.
Batteries
The Moto X Play (2016) will come with a non-removable battery of 3500 mAh, which will be more powerful than the 2600 mAh battery that the Moto X Style (2016) is expected to come with.
